About Us
While working at a high-end road shop, I grew tired of customers coming in and complaining about the horrors of the Garmin Varia Radar stock mount. Not only would it not fit their aero seat posts, but it would often move or just plain fall off. At first the shop and I switched to recommending saddle rail mounts. While there were some nice options out there, many of them felt cheap and flimsy or interfered with a saddle bag.
I continued my search for better solutions for my customers (and myself) until one day when I stumbled across a few 3D printed mounts. After getting my hands on a few, I was left disappointed by the quality. I felt there there had to be better ways to do it and started trying to learn as much as possible about 3d printing. I even took part time job a production role at a 3D printing manufacturer to learn more.
That's about when co-founder Evan Garner entered the picture. By the time he was a senior in high school, he had already competed as a world class robotics engineer, designed and manufactured multiple carbon fiber bicycle frames. Safe to say, he knows a thing or two about CAD and 3D printing.
Pooling our knowledge of 3D printing, and bicycles, we set off to make a product that met our needs and standards. After a few months of prototyping and real world testing, we were satisfied with our first Varia mount.
The fun had just begun, and it was time to 3D scan and validate every seat post we could get our hands on. We are constantly improving our designs and adding more posts and products.
